January 19, 2002 Well I finally have the computer and the camera setup so I can start updating the web site again. I left the dock Sat Morning with capt. Aaron and headed to cummins cut. We fished from there to the Klondikes without a bite. We decided to run over in front of the Carbon Black Plant and just as we dropped anchor the front hit. We pulled anchor right back up and headed back to Port Aransas where the boat was docked. On the way we stopped off in a channel over by port A and caught Redfish until we were tired of fighting fish. It was a great ending. photo.
January 20, 2002 I left the dock with Cal and John and headed over by port A where we had caught all the fish the day before. Not a bite so we went back to our favorite spot in Estes and picked up a nice stringer of Redfish, the smallest was 23".photo
January 27, 2002 Well today is Luketta's Birthday so I took the weekend off from fishing. John went out with Rex from Discount Auto and had a tough day. John got a 27" red out by the Carbon Black plant and a couple of rats in the stilt house cut. Hope to be back next weekend
February 10, 2002 My buddy Tito came down so we couldn't pass up a chance to go out to Estes and try our luck. We borrowed John's boat and we're the first to dock at cove harbor Sat morn. We got lots of mullet in the harbor and headed to the flats. We broke off two fish and missed quite a few others, the bite was real soft. Then the wind began to pick up so we came in early. photo
February 16, 2002 John and I left the dock about 6:10am , picked up some mullet in the channel and met Cal and company just past Palm Harbor. We stopped off by the island around the Carbon Black and got nothing, then moved to shallow water close to the Klondikes and picked up up 4 nice Reds, went in early to look at my new boat I am hoping to be getting soon. photo
February 24, 2002 Fished all day and caught nothing.
March 7, 2002 John and I snuck out and fished in the afternoon, picked up one nice 26" Redfish in the Klondikes but nothing else a afternoon.
March 9, 2002 Left the dock at 6:15 or so with Cal. Picked up some mullet and went to the Carbon Black area. Picked up one 26" Redfish. Tried many spots around the Carbon Black and Stilt House cut but couldn't find anything else. Was real cold and windy. photo
March 24, 2002 Fished all over with bait and caught nothing mainly test running my boat. Still windy
March 31, 2002 Test ran the boat again and it is starting to miss again so I came in early make a couple of drifts throwing plastics and got nothing but a couple of 12" trout.
April 7, 2002 John and I fished late today but after taking forever to get bait we finally made our way to the island across from carbon plant and picked up some nice trout on cut mullet. We then headed back to Estes and fished the potholes and picked up a nice Redfish then went home. Wind is a mess...
April 28, 2002 Capt. Aaron, John and I took off to Mud Island and fished everywhere on the back side. The wind was howling and the bay looked like foamy chocolate milk. We did hook up a huge Stingray but it quickly snapped the line. photo
May 4. 2002 Left the dock early with Capt. Kyle Lafreniere and an assortment of bait and headed out towards South Bay. After a stop or two we hit his honey hole at just the right time and started boating fish. Today it mattered not what bait you had, everything was going down. It was a great trip and Kyle offered to cook so we definitely brought home some fish. photo
May 5, 2002 Kyle and I left the dock early again this time in search of Trout. We scouted for awhile then headed to another of his Secret Spots and picked up a mess of trout on croakers. Photo
May 25, 2002 I left the dock at 6:00am with Dad. We picked up some croakers and went out to the wells in Aransas bay and caught some nice trout. We then headed back into the flats for some redfish. We caught some small reds around the Klondikes, but no keepers. After several stops we hit the potholes in Estes and finally got a couple to bite on cut mullet.. photo
May 26, 2002 John and I left the dock by 6:00am and headed to what we call mullet island to pick up some bait. We tried many spots from Estes to South Bay, behind Hog Island and back to Estes. I hooked into a nice sized Cow Nosed Ray and had a hella of a good fight. We  got 5 nice trout while we were fishing for Reds with cut mullet. Finally we got a nice 25" Redfish and called it a day. photo
June 2, 2002 Melanie and I left the dock around 5:45 am and headed out to get some mullet. the wind was gailing so the mullet getting was tough. finally we got enough bait to try a few spots but not much action. We picked the trout up around cummins  cut and then after a couple of spots from
buns to the klondikes we met up with John and his son, and stopped in some sand potholes around palm harbor and picked up a couple of nice reds before we ran out of bait and the rope came loose, we figured that was a sign to go in. Even windy, it is still better than a good
day at work. photo
June 6, 2002 Well we snuck off on another offshore fun trip with Capt. Aaron Chambers . John, Kyle and I along with a deckhand named Peter headed out to some of Aaron's spots and fished for snapper then we tied up to a rig and caught some more snapper, a jack fish on light tackle, and hooked up a huge shark who after a fight pulled into the rig and broke off. The water was under 3 ft and blue, I just love the water out there. We also some a big hammerhead and a 3 ft long turtle.photo
June 15, 2002 I picked up my neice Lindsey at 6:00am and we headed to the dock. After a getting our mullet we headed over to the area around bird island and we picked up 1 nice redfish and broke off one. Lindsey then wanted to try to catch some trout so we went out to the wells and but all of then had a boat on them but the smallest one at the very end of our run so we anchored up at it so we wouldnt bother the others. After a few minutes we started getting bytes and caught a couple when another boat runs up the little well and drops anchor withing casting distance, we didnt get any more bytes after that so we left and went back to the flats around palm harbor but still nothing. Our last stop was the klondikes and there we picked up two more nice reds and headed back to let lindsey swim before I took her home. photo.
Nov 11, 2002 Well it's been a while since I have had a day worth writing about. My boats broke and the fish havent been cooperating when I get to borrow one or go with someone else. Today, Melanie, John and I left the dock in the fog and headed for our favorite hot spot over by hog island. We threw cut mullet and picked up some real nice Reds. photo
